The two dogs suspected in the mauling death of a 2-year-old Lithonia girl were put to death Saturday, DeKalb police said. Their bodies will be sent to the University of Georgia for an autopsy, according to a spokesman for the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office, which temporarily has the corpses. No charges had been filed, police spokesman Michael Payne said Saturday.
