Urban Out Sitters, a Chicago pet care service, is celebrating the opening of its third location by throwing a fundraiser to help aid animal victims of Hurricane Katrina, where homeless animals will attempt to become part of a family again.
(PRWEB) October 17, 2005 — Urban Out Sitters will use its new location at 729 W. Randolph Street from 12-4pm to host the pooch party. Tickets are $5 per person. A costume contest will win lucky dogs various prizes. A yet-to-be announced band will be performing while people and dogs feast on Halloween themed goodies.
Dogs can play “Bobbing for Hot Dogs,” feast on a variety of gourmet snacks, and take home “Doggy Bags” filled with healthy snacks and dog food samples. All dogs in costume will be eligible to enter their names in a raffle for three prizes, which will be drawn at the end of the party.

Urban Out Sitters, Chicago’s premier place for pets to stay and play announces another Howlin Hounds Halloween. People and their pets are invited to come and enjoy some of the pet industries hottest products while competing for top prizes including a weekend stay at Chicago’s pet friendly hotels.
Categories for the top dog include Scariest, funniest, Themed, Look-a-like, family, most original and best in show.
This years event will benefit the animal victims of Hurricane Katrina and the those left homeless by her destruction. Animals will be available for adoption as well as those animals that need foster homes.
Last years event raised several thousand dollars for the Friends of Animal Care and Control and found homes for more the two-dozen shelter dogs and cats.
“Since its inception, Urban Out Sitters has been involved in its community and looks forward to giving back to those most in need” says Tommy Spinosa, co-owner of Urban Out Sitters. “It’s our way of taking care of those that really need our help.”
“We’ve lost friends and fellow petsitters have lost their entire business due to Katrina’s deadly destruction and we have to do something to help those that lost everything.” “It sickens us to know that our friends are left without homes, business and even their personal pets because of Katrina. This is the least we can do,” says co-owner Joseph Giannini who leads Pet sitter International’s Illinois region.
